It has a medium\/slim neck, dot inlays and classic vintage ES-335 appointments. The guitar features chrome hardware, with aged white binding and a durable poly finish. Body and neck construction is all maple on this instrument, yielding a brighter, snappier tone than its mahogany necked counterparts. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe feel on this guitar is what makes these Tokais so beloved. The neck is laser straight with medium jumbo frets. The profile is a medium, slightly slim C and is fast and easy to play. Acoustically the guitar is bright and resonant. Amplified this guitar sounds exactly how it should - big and warm, with a touch more clarity than you might expect. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe body and neck are maple on this guitar. The Tokai specs of the time do state that the neck should be mahogany, however, the lightness of colour and grain patterns do indicate a maple neck. Tokai enthusiasts will know that the manufacturer was liable to change things up without warning. Maple is a harder wood and yields a snappier, brighter tone than mahogany. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe finish is largely dent and scratch free - with only a few dings as evidenced in the photos. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe electronics work fine, however the pickup selector is currently a little stiff but fully functional.
