In case you didn’t already know, Danelectro guitars are hip! They represent a no nonsense, affordable and instantly recognisable look and sound that is indicative of the twangy, jangly early days of rock and roll. 

This Danelectro ’59 NOS+ is a revival of one of their most beloved designs of the late 1950s. These early, simple yet effective instruments found their way into the hands of rock and roll legends such as Jimmy Page, Syd Barret and Link Wray - to name a few. 

This example is from the early 2000s Korean line of reissues. These are known for their quality, and are considered by many to be superior to the later reissue Chinese models. This guitar is in almost new condition. It, like its 12 string brother (also for sale) lived in a studio environment and did not see the rigours of life performance. As a result both of these instruments are in excellent condition, with very little signs of wear, paint scratches or pitting. 

This guitar is exceptionally light. At 2.68 kilos, you’d be hard pressed to find an instrument that is easier on the back and shoulders. Due to the location of the front strap button, this guitar balances well, with no neck dive. 

The neck has a medium C profile with a slim(ish), fast and comfortable feel. The fretboard is relatively flat at 14” - just a little flatter than a stock Gibson fretboard. 

This guitar comes with a black tolex Fender style hard shell case, and is set up ready to rock with 10-46 gauge strings.
