A classic in the rock world. This 2021 Epiphone Les Paul Jr has all the attitude that made these instruments famous. Introduced in the 50s as a student model, the Les Paul Jr found its way into pop culture as a simple, no nonsense, well made guitar that could do exactly what a rock and roll guitarist needed. Les Paul Jrs have been popularised by the likes of Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Keith Urban, Johnny Thunders (New York Dolls), Mick Jones (the Clash) and a whole host of others. 

Specs: 
Like the originals, this guitar features a mahogany body and neck, unbound rosewood fretboard, single dog ear P90 with a 12” fretboard and U profile neck with 24.75” scale. The neck has a great solid vintage thickness without being too chunky. Nut width is a generous 43.2mm tapering out to 53.4mm at the 12th fret. The neck stability is great and this guitar sustains for days with an easy action of 1.8mm at the 12th fret. This guitar weighs in at a manageable 3.4kg and is fitted with chrome hardware, and Epiphone Deluxe tuners. 

Damage/ModificationsThis guitar is almost new and features no modifications or repairs. The only notable blemish is a dent at the base of the guitar, near the lower strap button, causing 2 visible 15mm cracks in the finish. This blemish is purely cosmetic and not structural and has no effect on playability. 

Tone:
The lone P90 reads at a very standard 8.72k ohms. This P90 delivers everything you’d want from a Jr - raw midrange bite and punch, great clarity and dynamic response. Being a single coil - expect some 60 cycle hum, but that’s all part of rock and roll isn’t it?
