This vintage 1975 Fender Telecaster Thinline is cool! Refinished about approximately 10 years ago in Seafoam Green, this instrument looks incredibly hip and presents in great condition considering its age. Both the neck and body were carefully stripped of the thick polyurethane coating and redone with nitrocellulose lacquer. All the work was carried out by Sydney guitar maker Andy Taylor and is of a high standard. 

At 2.82kg (6.2lbs) this guitar is very light. The combination of light ash body with the thinline routing make this acoustically loud and resonant instrument. 

This 3 bolt micro tilt neck works as it should and the fitment in the neck pocket is nice and snug. This guitar has received a refret by Len Biglin about 14 years ago. As such there is plenty of life in the frets with almost no pitting. The next is nice and straight with a low 1.8mm action at the first fret. 

Seth Lover was the brains behind the original Gibson Humbucker pickup. He was also the designer of these Fender wide range ‘Cunife’ pickups  - Cunife being a portmanteau of the materials used (Cu - copper, Ni - nickel and Fe - Iron). These wide range humbucking pickups do exactly what they say on the tin. They have a lovely wide frequency response with warmth and an open, expressive top end.

Despite the refret and refinish this guitar is mostly original. The volume and tone pots have been switched out, as have the original knobs. They are both still with the guitar, as is the original chrome bridge cover. We can provide additional photos at your request. Drop us an email!
