Andy Taylor is a guitar maker working out of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. His meticulous approach to guitar making has yielded not only some beautiful examples of craftsmanship, but also some of the nicest playing, nicest sounding contemporary Australian made guitars and basses you are likely to find. 

This 5 string bass features an alder body with highly figured AAAA grade maple cap, maple neck and nitrocellulose finish with emerald green stain and black binding on the body and neck. This 5 string bass has EMG active pickups with Fender Precision style in the neck and Fender Jazz bass style bridge pickup configuration. 

At 44.2mm the neck of this bass is slender enough to be comfortable for most players. Tuning is nice and stable with gold hipshot ultra lite tuners and a hefty top loading gold bridge.

This bass was built by Andy in 2021 and has been used personally for the past few years. As such it has light evidence of player wear. 

All the materials and hardware of this instrument are excellent quality and this bass has been made to exacting specifications. This is a punchy, powerful, versatile and unique bass guitar and is an exceptional piece of Australian craftsmanship. Andy’s last instrument sold within hours of it being advertised, and we don’t expect this bass to stick around for very long!
