This is punchy, warm, all tube amplifier is the amalgamation of two fantastic Australian guitar and amp makers. The amp itself is made by Mal O’Neill and is the signature amplifier of legendary Australian singer and guitarist Troy Cassar-Daley. It is a 15 watt, point to point hardwired all tube design. 

The cabinet was constructed by renowned Sydney guitar maker Andrew Taylor and features a single 12” Webber Alnico Blue Dog speaker also rated at 15 watts. The delicate nature of the low wattage alnico blue design makes for a highly efficient, detailed and loud speaker and is the perfect accompaniment to the all tube 15 watt amplifier. 

The joy of low wattage amps is how the grit and overdrive come on at less ear splitting volumes. This amp is capable of overdriven snarl similar to tweed era Fender amps, with some early Vox like sensibilities. Perfect for country, rock, blues and jazz. VVR stands for variable voltage regulator and allows you to adjust the voltage across the power tubes. This means you can scale back the power tube voltage, while driving other parts of the amp harder, giving different characteristics to the overdriven tones of the amp. 

The added “dwell” feature on the reverb allows you to adjust the amount of signal going into the reverb tank. This allows you to change the characteristics of the reverb and effect its duration.

The attractive combination of green, black and tan tolex with oxblood grille cloth give the amp a vintage aesthetic. The light but sturdy ply cabinet keeps things relatively light at 17.5kg. 

This is a very nice little Australian made amp with a whole lot of tone shaping options.
